ILLNESS FATAL TO BONNIE KLEMESRUD
Funeral rites were held Friday afternoon for Bonnie Klemesrud, 55, who died at Faith Home in Osage June 24, as the result of terminal cancer. The Reverend Harold Larsen, pastor, was in charge of the rites at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons.
Bonnie Phyllis Klemesrud was born July 7, 1924, in Cedar Township the daughter of Clarence and Gladys Maakestad Klemesrud. She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Creek Lutheran Church. She was graduated from the rural schools in Mitchell County and moved with her family to Osage in 1947. Much of her spare time was sent in babysitting.
She became a resident of Handicap Village at Clear Lake October 20, 1973, where she resided until February, 1980, when she was hospitalized and later became a resident of Faith Home. While at the Village she attended adult education class and received her diploma from North Iowa Area Community College. She was a member of the Village Choir and attended Zion Lutheran Church while still a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage.
Surviving are her parents; two sisters, Mrs. John Weaverling (Cleone), and Mrs. Richard Dean (Mary Lou), all of Osage; four nieces; one nephew; grand nephews and nieces, uncles and aunts.
