Anna Theresa (Walter) Coon 1866-1937
MRS. LESTER COON OF MITCHELL IS BURIED; WAS EARLY RESIDENT
Mitchell – The funeral of Mrs. Lester Coon, 70, who died at her home in West Mitchell of pneumonia, was held Sunday afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home at Osage in charge of Chaplain H. F. rise of St. Ansgar.

Mrs. Coon was born in Helenville, Wisconsin, in 1866 and came to Mitchell with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Walter at the age of 8 years. In 1890 she was married to Lester Coon at Mitchell. Five children were born to this union, all of whom survive her.
They are Mrs. William Robertson and Jay Coon, Mitchell; Ed Coon, Cresco; Mrs. M. C. Madsen of St. Ansgar; and Mrs. Day Williams, Encinas, California.
Besides her children, she is survived by her husband, one sister; Mrs. C. Cheney, Mitchell; and four brothers; George Walter, Mitchell; L. e. Walter, Sioux Falls, S. Dakota; John Walter, Lodie, California; and Ed Walter, Burlington, Wisconsin. She had 10 grandchildren.
Burial was made in Oak Grove Cemetery at Mitchell.
