JOHN MAHAN 66 DIES AT OSAGE
Osage – John Mahan, 66, a veteran of World War I, died Tuesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Everett Pencook officiating. Military rites will be held in the cemetery at Anita, Iowa, Friday at 1:30 p.m.
Born in Guthrie Center, he was married to Pearl Millhollin. She died three years ago. He had operated a dairy Queen stand in Clear Lake nine years before coming to Osage two years ago. He had lived with a foster son, Donald Lathrop here.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.
