GUY MCFARLAND DIES AT OSAGE; RITES MONDAY
Osage – Guy McFarland, 70, died Friday evening at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home with burial in Little Cedar Cemetery. The Rev. Ben Vanschoten, Marble Rock, will officiate.
Born in Kansas, July 15, 1890 to George and Elizabeth McFarland, he was married to Hazel Adams, Webster City, in 1914. They lived in Minnesota until coming to Osage in 1930. He had been employed by the Falk Construction Co., and the town of Osage.
Surviving are his wife, three daughters; Mrs. Wilder (Fama) Lovejoy; Mrs. Arthur (Gladys) Bird; Mrs. Harvey (Velora) Hanson; and a son; Arleigh, all of Osage; 15 grandchildren, five grat-grandchildren and nine brothers and sisters.
