Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 9, 1985 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church for Alice Klemesrud, 80, of Osage, who died on Sunday, April 7, at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar. Rev. P. Metzger officiated at the service with burial in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
Alice Klemesrud was born on September 30, 1904 at Little Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Ole and Mary Haugen Wahl. She and her family moved to Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, in 1913, attended country schools and graduated from Osage High School.
She taught rural schools in Mitchell County. On June 8, 1926 she and Kinsley Klemesrud were united in marriage at Rock Creek Lutheran Church. They farmed in Cedar Township until retiring to Osage.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Marjorie) Risting, Osage; Mrs. Mary Alice Morphew, Burnsville, Minnesota; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband and parents preceded her in death.
