BETTS, Arthur 1908-1985
Funeral Services were held on Friday, December 6, 1985, at Champion Funeral Home in Osage for Former Osage plumber, Arthur Betts, 77. The Rev. Keith Hejnal of the United Church of Christ officiated and burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
Mr. Betts died on Monday, December 2, 1985, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage.
He was born on January 18, 1908, in New Hampton, Iowa, to John and Ida (Anderson) Betts. He and Vivian Palmer were married on January 25, 1935 in Charles City. Mr. Betts worked as a plumber in Osage until 1948 when he purchased a plumbing business and moved to Blue Earth, Minnesota. He moved back to Osage in May of 1985.
Mr. Betts was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian in 1984; and one brother, Marshall.
Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Melvin (Adelaide) Lindley of Osage, Mrs. Don (Josephine) Schrode of Aurora, Colorado, and Mrs. Gladys Martin of Mason City; two brothers, Andrew of Hudson, Florida and Ervin of Osage; a half-brother, Hilding Lindley of Dakota City.
