Former Osage man died April 26

Word has been received of the death from a heart attack of Alton Nelson at his home in Northridge, California, April 26, 1980.

Alton, the son of the late Ervin and Mabel Nelson, was born on the family farm southwest of Osage. He moved with his parents while a child to Waterloo where he received his education. Following service in the U. S. Navy, he moved to California where he had since resided.

He is survived by his widow, a son and a daughter; as well as one sister, Mrs. Don (Dorothy) Burke of Rockford, Illinois.

Local relatives include his aunt, Cora McGahn, and cousins, Donald and Kenneth Larson and Mike McGhan, Jr.
