Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 12, 1985, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, for Anna Pitzen, 102, who died on Saturday, November 9, at her home in Stacyville. Her son, the Rev. John Pitzen officiated at the service and burial was in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Stacyville. A rosary service was held on Monday afternoon at Visitation Catholic Church Hall, conducted by Rev. Pitzen.
Mrs. Pitzen is survived by two daughters, Marie Montavon of Dekalb, Illinois, and Agnes Casely of Aloha, Oregon; four sons, Gervin of Stuart, Florida, Sy and Clem, both of Stacyville, and John of Fairfax; one sister, Balbina Junjer of Denver, Colorado; 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
