Mrs. Matie M. Maasbol, died at her home three miles southeast of St. Ansgar on Wednesday, February 17, 1892, after a brief illness from heart failure. Deceased was born in Denmark on February 17, 1862, and was, on the day of her death, just thirty years of age. She was the only daughter of A.M. and H.P. Hansen and came to this country with her parents in 1871 and has been a resident of St. Ansgar and Mitchell townships ever since. Mrs. Maasbol was the only daughter in a family of eight children, five of whom, together with their parents, survive to mourn her loss. Deceased was on February 10, 1880, united in marriage with Mr. M. Maasbol, and as a result of that union three children were born to them, the oldest being ten years of age and the youngest but a few weeks old. As a wife and mother she will be sadly missed, as well as by her parents whose sole comfort she was, while her brothers deeply mourn the loss of their only sister. Mrs. Maasbol was a member of the Lutheran Church and at all times said: "Lord, thy will be done," and went to meet her Savior. The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, on Saturday, February 20th, and were largely attended.
