RITES AT STACYVILLE FOR WILLIAM JORDAN

Stacyville – Funeral services for William Jordan, 83, were held Tuesday morning at the Visitation Church, with burial in the Riceville Cemetery. He died at a hospital in Mason City Sunday.

Mr. Jordan was born near Bailey and had lived in Mitchell County Most of his life.

In 1899 he was married to Ellen Dunlay who died in 1939. Since then he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Johanna Scheer.

Other survivors are sons, Leo Jordan of Stacyville and Laverne Jordan of Minneapolis, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

William Jordan was the son of Edward Jordan and Ann Moran. He married Ellen Dunlay, the daughter of Robert Dunlay and Johanna Kehoe (parents from 1925 Iowa Census)
