IVAN A. ADAMS RITES FRIDAY AT OSAGE
Osage – Ivan A. Adams, 69, died Wednesday at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral rites will be Friday at 4 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home, with burial scheduled for 1:30 Saturday at the Richland Cemetery, Jamaica, Iowa.
Born April 16, 1892, at Jamaica, he served as rural mail carrier at Casey and Menlo, Iowa. He was married to Opal Dickson, at Jefferson, June 1938. In 1947 they moved near Little Cedar, and then retired to Charles City.
Survived by his wife, Opal; his mother, Mrs. Hannah Adams, Maquoketa, three daughters; Mrs. Antonio (LaRene) Sivester, Long Branch, N. J.; Mrs. Raymond (Shirley) Johanns; and Miss Joy Adams, Miani, Fla.; three sons; Wesley L, Antioch, Ill.; Howard, Stuart, Iowa; and Gerald W., Osage; a sister; Mrs. Ralph Murphy, Clinton; and eight grandchildren.
