Herman Kohnke Sr. 1902-1980

Herman Kohnke was born in Germany, on December 26, 1902.

He married Elsa Margarete __________ on October 14, 1933 in Clayton Center, Iowa. Elsa was born in 1906, and died in 2002. They served as maid, butler and chauffeur until 1940 and began farming in 1941.

Herman and Elsa were parents of two sons, Herman and John.

Herman died on May 17, 1980 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. He was buried in the Osage City Cemetery.
