Illness fatal to Fred M. Hemann
Funeral rites for a Stacyville man, Fred M. Hemann, 91, who died at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home July 4, were held Tuesday at Visitation Catholic Church, with the Reverend Carl Manternach, church pastor in charge. Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Arrangements were by Hatten and Sons Funeral Home.
Fred M. Hemann was born in Stacyville March 10, 1890, the son of John and Mary (Kottner) Hemann.
Winifred Gilles and Fred Hemann were married November 11, 1919, and they made their home in Stacyville 62 years. He was longtime employee of Mitchell County and was a lifelong member of Visitation Church.
Survivors include his wife, Winifred; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Agnes) Weber of Austin, Mrs. Anthony (Gertrude) Mostek of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Dean (Jeanne) Mauer of Riceville and Mrs. Don (Janet) Wilson of Osage; three sons, Alfred Hemann of Austin, Robert Hemann of Stacyville and Wilmer of Austin; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Leo.
