CHRISTOFFERSON, Dorothy
A memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, February 4, 1985, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, for a former Osage resident, Mrs. E.B. (Dorothy) Christofferson, 81, who died Saturday, February 2, 1985, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage.
The Rev. Mark Christofferson and Rev. Joseph Nesheim officiated at the service. Funeral services were held at the Esterdahl Mortuary in Moline, Illinois, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1985, and burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, Illinois.
Mrs. Christofferson was born on June 24, 1903 in Moline. She attended school in Andover, Illinois, and graduated from Moline Lutheran School of Nursing in 1926.
She married George G. Simpson on August 16, 1927 in Rock Island, Illinois. She worked as a registered nurse in Moline.
Mr. Simpson died in 1968 and a year later Mrs. Christofferson moved to Edina, Minnesota. She married E. B. Christofferson on May 17, 1980 in Osage.
She is survived by a son, Theodore Simpson of Bettendorf; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Dorris) Christofferson of Edina; a sister, Eleanor Swanson of Lynn Center, Illinois, and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
