RITES HELD AT LITTLE CEDAR FOR H. TIFFANY
Little Cedar – Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Little Cedar Methodist Church for the Rev. H. M. Tiffany, former pastor of the church. The Rev. Rollin G. Oswald, present pastor of the church, officiated and the Rev. Earl Baker of Cedar Falls, former district superintendent of the North Iowa District, gave the sermon.
Mrs. Charles Hockens and Mrs. Fred Hill, both of Little Cedar, and Dale Shirk of Albion provided the music with Mrs. Rollin Oswald at the organ.
Burial was at the Little Cedar Cemetery. Masonic rites were performed by members of the Masonic Lodge No. 182, A. F. & A. M, of Osaage at the graveside. Pallbearers were Merrill Loney, Ross Decker, Herbert Cockrum, Wilbur Danforth, Peter Johnson, and Raymond Conrad all of Little Cedar.
The Rev. Mr. Tiffany died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Enslow, in Fowler, Ind. He had been living there since he resigned early this year as pastor of the Albion Church because of failing health.
A native of Iowa, he was pastor at Chapin for 12 years before going to Albion two years ago. He also served church at Fredericksburg, Aredale and Little Cedar.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby; three daughters; Mrs. Enslow; Mrs. Leon Jacobs, Long Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Charles Gosline, Wilmington, Del; a son, H. M. Tiffany, Jr., at Fowler; a sister; Mrs. Nell Roberts, Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Fred Tiffany, Kansas City, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
