Eugene T. Adams, 58, of Stacyville, Iowa, died on Friday, January 25, 1985, in Veteran's Administration Hospital in Iowa City. He had been self-employed as a Stauffer Seed salesman.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Janaury 29, 1985 at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with full military rites by the VFW Post 7920 of Osage.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ernest (Clara) Adams; two brothers, Walter of Stacyville and Ted of Adams, Minnesota; and three sisters, Mrs. Dale (Teresa) Mavear and Mrs. Kenny (Veronica) Koenigs, both of Stacyville, and Mrs. Larry (Louise) Walk of Little Cedar.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 29 at Visitation Church in Stacyville for Eugene Adams. Father Carl Manternach officiated, with burial in Visitation Cemetery. Hatten and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Eugene Thomas Adams, son of Ernest P. and Clara (Thome) Adams, was born on December 29, 1926 in Stacyville. He died, following several heart attacks, at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City on Friday, January 25, 1985.
He attended Visitation High School in Stcyville and served in the Merchant Marines, World War II and in Korea Second Division Signal Corps. He was employed as an electrician, plumber and seed corn salesman.
Eugene was a member of the Stacyville Fire Department, Catholic Order of Foresters, Stacyville Commercial Club, American Legion-Hale Penny Fuller Post 569, Stacyville and V.F.W. Post 7920, Osage. The latter two performed full military rites.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ernest (Clara) Adams; two brothers, Walter of Stacyville and Theodore of Rochester; three sisters: Mrs. Dale (Theresa) Mauer of Stacyville, Mrs. Larry (Louise) Walk of Little Cedar, and Mrs. Kenneth (Veronica) Koenigs of Stacyville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest P. Adams, in February 1975.
