A memorial service for Scott Andersen, age 42, of Boone, and formerly of Osage, was held on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004 at the Cornerstone Church of Ames where Pastor Troy Nesbitt officiated. Scott died at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on Sept. 19, 2004 from complications of heart surgery. His body was cremated.

He was born in Osage, Iowa on August 27, 1962 the son of Robert and Betty (Herron) Andersen. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1980 and Northern Iowa Community College in 1982. He then attended Iowa State University. He married Danielle Conrad on March 1, 1997 in Ames.

Since 1994, he was production manager for AgLeader Technology in Ames. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Ames, the Toastmasters in Ames, the Ogden Saddle Club, and the Connection Group of his church.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors are his wife Danielle of Boone; four sons Daniel and Jordan Andersen both of Osage and DJ and Marshall Andersen both at home; two daughters Jessica Andersen and Samantha Andersen both at home; his mother and stepfather Betty and Merlyn Ball of Mesa, Arizona; a brother Rick Andersen and wife Lisa and two sisters Kim Olson and husband Scott and Tammy Andersen all of Gilbert, Arizona.

Memorials may be given to establish college funds for his children.

Schroeder Memorial Chapel at 6th & Marshall Streets in Boone was in charge of the arrangements.
