ROHNE, THOMPSON, ADAMS, ROCKAFELLOW, WEBER

Funeral services for Haakon Rohne, 79, of Osage, were hld on Monday, January 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage. Rev. K. Belk officiated at the service with burial in the Osage Cemetery. He died on Friday, January 4 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Haakon Rohne was born on December 5, 1905, the son of Harold and Ella Rohne in Worth county, Iowa. He was raised in Albert Lea, Minnesota, and retired from Harnischfeger at age 62.

On December 24, 1929 he was united in marriage to Juanita Thompson in Albert Lea, Minnesota. They spent most of their married life in the Milwaukee and Osage areas.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita; three daughters, Mrs. Wayland (Shirley) Adams of Mitchell, Mrs. Dale (Joan) Rockafellow of Arizona City, Arizona; and Mary Lou Weber of Phoenix, Arizona; one son, Richard Rohne of Milwaukee; two brothers, Herbert and Melvin, both of Lyle, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Arthur and one grandson, Wally Adams.
