DEATH OF MR. AND MRS. A. LARSON

How unusual for husband and wife to enjoy wedded life together for 55 years and then go hand in hand, as it were, into the other world beyond. Such was the lot of Mr. and Mrs. A. Larson. The middle of week before last, she, at the age of 80 years was taken with the grip. On Saturday Mr. Larson, seven years her senior, was stricken to the same bed with pneumonia.

Sunday night, January 19th, her spirit took its flight. Her mortal remains were laid to their last resting place in the North Rock N. L. Cemetery, Wednesday, the funeral having been conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. Olsen, at the N. L. Church.

After the funeral, Mr. Larson, lying there on his bed, looked into the future and saw that he too was about to join the wife of his bosom on "the other shore." He asked for his pastor, Rev. Olsen came and administered the last sacrament. The next day, Thursday, January 23, his spirit took its flight.

Saturday his nortal remains were laid beside those of his wife in the cemetery, the funeral having been conducted in the same church by the same pastor.

Askel Larson was born February 8, 1815 Uulvik, Hardanger, Norway. Elizabeth Nelson was born at the same place seven years later, the date being November 1, 1822. In their native village the years of childhood and youth were spent. May 19th, 1847 they were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. One child was born to them, a daughter who grew to womanhood and married D.O. Hylden. In 1868 they all came to America and settled in St. Ansgar. This was Mr. and Mrs. Larson's home till death took them to the home beyond. They were survived by their daughter, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
