#3: (Biographical sketch)

COUNSELL, ERNEST A. FAMILY

Ernest A. Counsell, son of Harry and Lucretia Counsell, married Clara Carver from Spencer, Iowa. They bought land from his father, moved a house there and built farm buildings. Later they moved the house farther east for a tenant house and built a larger home.

They were parents of two children: Ernest J. and Grace. Grace Counsell married Ernest Harrison and they were parents of our children: Dorothy Walters, Delbert (now deceased), Merlin (Bill) and Sherman (now deceased).

When Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Counsell moved to Osage in 1945, their son Ernest J. and family moved from the tenant house into the larger home. Later the Carlin Counsell family completed four generations of Counsell's that had lived in the little house.
