Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 1973 in the Immaculate Conception Church of Riceville for Lily DeSloover, 74, of Salem , Oregon , who passed away in that city on May 14, 1973. The Mass of Requiem was officated by the Reverend Father J. W. Bohr.
Mrs. DeSloover was born July 1, 1898 in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Emeil [sic - Emil] and Ella Stirniman.
She is survived by her husband Victor, Salem, Oregon; three daughters, Mrs. David (Veronica) Clappier, Rochester, Minnesota; Mrs. Gene (Virginia) Farus, DeWitt, Iowa and Mrs. Vivian Pearce, Traer, Iowa; nine grandchildren and one brother, Edward Stirniman, Brooklyn, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest, and one brother, Joe.
Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville with the Chisholm Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
