OSAGE, IOWA - John E. Thorsen, 64, of Hebron, Nebraska, and formerly of Osage, Iowa, died Thursday July 14, 2011, at the Thayer County Memorial Hospital in Hebron, Nebraska.
Private family graveside inurnment services will be held at a later date at the Osage Cemetery in Osage with the Rev. Roy Ott officiating.
John was born on January 4, 1947, in Osage, the son of Hubert and Wanda (Murphy) Thorsen. John lived in Axtell, Nebraska, and moved to Hebron six years ago. He enjoyed working with his hands and loved animals.
John is survived by his mother, Wanda Thorsen of Osage; his brother, Bill (Karen) Thorsen of Brighton, Mich.; his two sisters, Janet (Jim) Grinstead of Osage and Shirley Van Scoyoc of Moore, Oklahoma; four nieces and nephews; and his aunt, Ruby Hawke of Dumont.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert in 2009.
