Mary Louise HavigMary Louise Havig, age 87, died Aug. 18, 2004, at Stanton Nursing Home following complications of Alzheimer's disease. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m.
Mary Louise was born March 6, 1917, to Alfred and Elsie (Christianson) Havig. She graduated valedictorian of her class from Osage High School in 1934. She then attended Hamilton Business College. She became a private secretary at Wilson's in Albert Lea, Minn. and later moved to Tacoma, Wash. where she was also a private secretary for Weyerheuer Lumber Co. In 1983 she moved to Nebraska to be near her sister.
Those that survive her include a brother Dean Havig of Rancho Cordova, Calif. and sister Ruth and her husband Gerald Paulson of Norfolk, Neb., a sister-in-law, Virgie Havig of Mason City and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Forrest of Mason City.
