Julius Olson Funeral,
Monday, June 15th
at First Lutheran Church

Funeral services for Julius Olson, 86, who died at his home in St. Ansgar while mowing his lawn Thursday, June 11, were held Monday June 15 at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. O. A. Langehough.

Julius Olson was born October 4, 1866 in Brandvold, Norway, and he was baptized and confirmed in the Brandvold Church. He came to America in 1888 and lived in Lyle, Minnesota, for a short time. Mr. Olson came to St. Ansgar in 1892 and worked as a cement contractor until his retirement.

September 5, 1891 he was united in marriage to Caroline Assorson, and to this union was born one son, Clarence, who lives in Knoxville, Iowa. Mrs. Olson died March 4, 1942. For the past five years Mrs. Inga Olson has served as his housekeeper. Last Thursday at 11:15 a.m. Mr. Olson succumbed while mowing his lawn. He attained the age of 86 years and 8 months. He had been a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church here.

Surviving is his son, Clarence, who was unable to be present at the funeral.

Interment was in the St. Ansgar cemetery, with the Rev. Langehough in charge of the committal services.
