ASA STACY, 77, DIES AT OSAGE
PIONEER FARMER SPENT MOST OF LIFE IN MITCHELL COUNTYOsage – Asa I Stacy, 77, died at his farm home near here Wednesday night after two weeks illness.
Mr. Stacy was born in Stacyville and spent most of his life in Mitchell County. He was married in 1891.
Surviving are his widow, six children, Burton of Osage; Donald of Western Springs, Ill.; William of Ames; Ruth of Moline, Ill.; Mrs. R. R. Wright of Salix; and Mrs. William Wright of Osage; sister Mrs. Harriett Reeves of Wilmar Minn.

FUNERAL HELD FOR OSAGE MANAsa I. Stacy, 77, Was Pioneer of Mitchell County
Osage – Funeral services were held here Saturday for Asa I. Stacy, 77, who died at his farm home west of Osage after a two weeks illness.
Born in Stacyville, March 29, 1862, he spent his entire life in Mitchell County except for several years spent in Chamberlain, S. Dakota.
He was married June 9, 1891 to Mary Fonda. He was a member of the Osage Congregational Church during the past 60 years.
Surviving are his widow and six children; Burton and Mrs. W. A. Wright of Osage; Donald of Western Springs, Ill.; Mrs. R. R. Wright of Salix; Ruth of Moline, Ill.; and William of Ames; and one sister, Mrs. Harriet Reeves of Willmar, Minn.
Burial was in the Osage Cemetery. The Rev. Stiles Lessly, who was vacationing in Northern Michigan with his family, came hme to conduct the funeral service.

Asa Isaac Stacy was born March 29, 1862, the son of Homer Isaac Stacy and Amelia (Donaldson) Stacy. He married Mary Olivia Fonda, the daughter of William and Julie (Shelden) Fonda.
