Mrs. Hubert I. Knight, 63 died Monday of cancer, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Archie Thompson, in Osage.

Nee Mabela May Rader, daughter of David and Bertha (Culver) Rader, she was born at Eldora March 28, 1885.

She moved as a child with her family to Sheffield, Ia., and married Hubert I Knight on August 24, 1904 and the family established their first home at Aredale, coming to Mitchell County in 1906. They lived northeast of Osage at Brownville, until 1937, when they moved to Mitchell. They came to Osage in 1940, living here until September 1947, when they moved to Ladysmith, Wisconsin. They returned to Osage in August 1948 and resided at the home of daughters, Mrs. Archie Thompson, Osage and Mrs. Ray Marreel, New Haven, since that time.

She leaves her husband; four daughters; Mrs. Ray Shaw, Ladysmith, Wis.; Mrs. Mearl Winterton, Carpenter; Mrs. Archie Thompson, Osage; and Mrs. Ray Marreel, New Haven; two sons, Raymond and William; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Clara McGowan, Eldon, Mo.; and four brothers, J. R. Hathtway, Garden City, Kansas; J. M. Rader, Sheffeld; William Massey, Sheffield; and Loren Cooper, Omaha, Neb.
Preceding her were her parents; two daughters, Mrs. William Turner and Jeorgiana Knight; a son, Edson Hubert Knight; sister, Lizzie, and a brother, Harlow Ray Massey.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church; burial in Brownville Cemetery.

Mabela May (Rader) Knight 1885-1949

Funeral services for Mrs. H.I. Knight, 63, were held Wednesday afternoon, March 16, 1949, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Marvin Thompson officiating. Burial was made in the Brownville Cemetery.

Mrs. Knight died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Archie Thompson, after a year's illness.

Mabele May Rader, daughter of David and Bertha Culver Rader, she was born March 28, 1885, at Eldora.
