WIDOW OF OSAGE BANKER DIES; RITES PENDING

Osage – Funeral services are pending for Mrs. Karl J. Johnson, 83, who died Monday at the Mitchell County Hospital. Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Osage June 20, 1877, Julia Brush was the daughter of Avery and Dell Brush. She was graduated from St. Mary’s Episcopal College, Knoxville, Illinois, and was married in 1901.
She had lived all her life in Osage. Her father was president of Osage Farmers National Bank.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Ginsterblum, Arcadia, California; a grandson, Arthur Altick Jr., Osage; three great-grandchildren; and a sister; Mrs. Laura Spaanum, Osage.

Preceding her in death were twin children, Karl J. and Katherine and three brothers, Joseph, Birchard and Avery Brush.

Julia Marilla Brush was born June 20, 1877, the daughter of Avery Smith Brush and Dell (Moreland) Brush. She married Karl John Johnson, the son of John Helgesen Johnson and Olive Mary (Kinney) Johnson.

She is buried in the Osage City Cemetery.
