PATRICIA 'PAT' KAY ROWSON

PLYMOUTH, IOWA - Patricia "Pat" Kay Rowson, 63, of Plymouth, died Sunday (Nov. 11, 2001) at the Manly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Plymouth, with the Rev. Terra Amundson and the Rev. Richard Pippert officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the church during a time of fellowship.

Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring St. in Manly, is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Pat Rowson Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 205, Plymouth, Iowa 50464.

Pat was born on December 2, 1937 in Osage, the daughter of Ed and Hazel (Frank) Arp. She graduated from Osage High School and then was united in marriage to Dean "Buck" Rowson on August 22, 1963 in Osage.

They lived near Rock Falls for a short time before purchasing a farm near Riceville. Pat was a homemaker who also farmed right alongside her husband for all their years in agriculture. They retired from farming in 1991 and moved to Plymouth.

Pat enjoyed playing cards, reading, planting flowers, taking walks, and spending time with her two pets, her dog, Taffy, and her cat, Scooter. She also loved hearing a good joke and visiting with her many friends. Pat will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes and her wonderful sense of humor.

Pat is survived by four brothers, Marvin Arp of Plymouth, Bill and Joyce Squier, of St. Ansgar, Keith and Shirley Squier, of Centerville, and Larry and Delores Squier, of Osage; two sisters, Phyllis and Pete Peterson and Lillian and Don Adams, all of Austin, Minn.; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Arp, of Mason City, and Eleanor Squier of Osage, many nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Dean Squier.
