IRENE J. OGDEN

OSAGE, IOWA - Irene J. Ogden, 75, of Osage, died Thursday (Oct. 25, 2001) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Irene was born March 21, 1926, in Osage, the daughter of Earl Hartwig Snyder and Wilma (Ketelsen) Snyder. She graduated from Osage High School in 1942.

Irene married Leo Ogden in April of 1942 in Winona, Minn. She was baptized and confirmed on April 3, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage. Irene and Leo lived in Osage. Leo died in June of 1988.

She was employed in the bakery at Larsen's Jack & Jill until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Christian F. Gugel officiating. Interment will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Pape of Osage; a son, Daniel Ogden and his wife, LaDonna, of Osage; six grandchildren, Colleen Brandt, Tonya Hanson, Shawna Brandt, Wanda Cartrette, Rick Ogden and Devin Ogden; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo, in 1988; and a son, Richard Ogden.
