(Died May 7, 2011)
Philip Thoresen, age 61, of Osage, died Saturday, May 7, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev. Luther Thoresen officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. before services at the church on Thursday.
Philip was born November 23, 1949, in Osage, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Beatrice (Cressey) Thoresen. He attended school in Osage and graduated from Osage High School. Philip then graduated from North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City. He farmed with his father and uncle, Howard, on the family farm his entire life. In his free time, Philip enjoyed reading.
Philip is survived by his father, Leonard Thoresen of Osage; three brothers, Jim Thoresen of Osage, Brian Thoresen of Osage, Ken (Bethany) Thoresen of Spicewood, Texas; and a sister, Susan (Michael) Roetman and their daughters, Jennifer and Jessica of Rock Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice in 2000.
