DIES OF HEART ATTACK WHILE SHOVELING SNOW
Riceville – Wilmer Koon, 66, died of a heart attack Tuesday while shoveling snow at his farm west of here. He was a retired auctioneer, farmer and salesman.Survivors include his wife, Ethel, whom he married in 1916; two daughters, Mrs. J. E. Mattis, Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. David Rankin, Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren; and two brothers; Cecil, Cedar Rapids; and Walter, Yankton, S. D.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Riceville Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Riceville Funeral Home is in charge.
