ST. ANSGAR - Mildred C. Haensch, 97, formerly of Mason City, died Tuesday (July 17, 2001) at the St. Ansgar Care Center.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Mason City.
Visitation will be held from noon until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.

MILDRED C. J. HAENSCHST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Mildred C. J. Haensch, 97, of St. Ansgar died Tuesday (July 17, 2001) at the St. Ansgar Care Center.
Her funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, with Pastor James Grabitske of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in the Richland Cemetery in Thornton.
Visitation will be held from noon today until time of services.
Memorials may be given to the Mildred Haensch Memorial Fund.
Mildred was born March 18, 1904, in Franklin County, the daughter of Clifford R. and Mary C. (Petersen) Abrams. She attended rural school in Franklin County and high school in Thornton.
Mildred's first husband was Adolph Andersen. She moved to Mason City in 1954.
Mildred worked for Mode O Day and Marshall and Swift, retiring from Marshall and Swift in 1965.
Mildred was also married to Rudolph Haensch, her third husband.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, church circle, Queen Esthers Guild, Silver Advantage, Age Wise, former World War I Auxiliary and past manager of the Senior Citizens Center.
Mildred is survived by eight grandchildren, Tim Pate and wife, Mary, of Manly, Theresa White and husband, Jeff, of St. Ansgar, and Tom Abbas and wife, Nancy, of Mason City, all children of Mildred's deceased daughter, Ramona Abbas; Vickie Voorhees and husband, Don, of North Hudson, Wis., Penny Pederson and husband, Don, of Garner, Jill Pedersen and husband, Marvin, of Jeffers, Minn., Renee Hansen and husband, Larry, of Hampton, and Jonnie Carpenter and husband, Ron, of Newton, all children of Mildred's deceased son, John Andersen; daughter-in-law, Joy Bulow, of St. Ansgar; and many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by three husbands, two daughters, one son and one brother.
