Alverne B. Olson
Funeral services for Alverne B. Olson, 68, were held at 1:30 Friday, March 2 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage. He died Tuesday, February 28 at home.
Reverend Joseph B. Nesheim and Reverend Harold J. Larsen officiated at the service with burial in the Osage Cemetery. There military rites were conducted by the American Legion Post 278. He was a veteran of World War II.
On September 6, 1936 he was united in marriage to Mildred Cornwell and they made their home in Osage.
Alverne was a city letter carrier until he retired because of ill health.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; one son, Dr. Vereck Olson of Rochester, Michigan; two grandchildren, Roderec and Laura Olson; one sister, Mrs. Foy (Eloise) Kneisel of Friendship, Wisconsin; two nieces, Mrs. Lowell (Carol) Tesch of Osage and Mrs. Don (Mary) Sifert of Estherville; one nephew, Allen Cornwell of Whittemore. The nieces and nephew made their home with the Olsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, two sons and two daughters who died in infancy.
