Funeral services for Arthur N. Theobald, 63, of 2118 N. 19th St., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with a requiem Mass at St. Dominic’s Church.The Rev. Cyril A. Volz, pastor, will be the celebrant of the Mass that will follow 9:30 family rites at Gerend’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Theobald died Thursday afternoon at St. Nicholas Hospital after a lingering illness.An employee of Kohler Co. for 40 years, he had been a foreman in the north foundry for over 20 years prior to his retirement in January 1963
A native of Stacyville, Iowa, Mr. Theobald was born April 26, 1901, a son of the late Nicholas and Bertha (Pitzen) Theobald. He married Eleanor Dietzen at Mt. Calvary on October 22, 1929
Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Audrey) Sonntag, Sheboygan; five grandchildren; two brothers; Carl and Wilfred, both of Stacyville; and four sisters; Miss Isabelle Theobald of Goodhue, Minn.; Miss Irma Theobald of Rochester, Minn.; Sister M. Agness of st. Joseph’s Hospital, Milwaukee; and Sister M. Joanice of Briarcliff College, Sioux City, Ia.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Rosary will be recited there by Holy Name men and other parishioners at 7:30 p.m. Sunday
