Dennis Ray Kramer 1929-2005

Dennis Ray Kramer, age 76, of Austin, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at Methodist Hospital.
Dennis was born Jan. 20, 1929, to Frances (Puettmann) and Lorenz Kramer on a farm north of Stacyville, Iowa.

He married Marilyn Jean Jenkins Feb. 1, 1951, at Saint Augustine's Catholic Church in Austin, Minn. Five daughters were born to this union.
He served in the American Armed Forces in Korea from 1951 to 1953.

Dennis farmed for many years and retired from the custodial department of Austin Public Schools. He worked for several years in retirement as a carpenter with Elmer Akkerman.

Dennis is survived by five daughters: Sharrie Bawek (Terry), Waltham, Minn.; Ann Maxfield (Gus), Austin, Minn.; Cindy Kramer, Clairmont, Minn.; Kathy Mahmoud (Majdi), Brownsdale, Minn.; Carol Bodway (Kenny), North Branch, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Laurie King, Austin, Minn., Betty Norgaard, Nevis, Minn.; and three brothers: Elmo Kramer (Eleanor), Ackley, Iowa, Kenny Kramer (Laraine), Adams, Minn., and Frederick Kramer (Verena), Stacyville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Kramer; three brothers: Leonard Kramer, Richard Kramer, and Justin Kramer; two sisters: Lucy Kramer and Germaine Collette.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at 9 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father John Traufler officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Austin, Minn. Visitation will be held at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Friday from 5-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary Service.
