FAIRBANKS, I. N., Mr. (d: 1885)**
DIED.
On Sunday April 12, 1885, Mr. I. N. Fairbanks.
Mr. Fairbanks had been suffering from a painful sickness for about a year and for ten months of the time was confined to his home. For the last month or two he had been able to be up and to walk about.
On Friday he visited the home of his son, M. A. Fairbanks. In the afternoon he went out saying that he would go to his home, but instead of so doing he went out to the barn, where he was found Saturday morning. When found he was partially unconscious. He was taken into his son’s home and pronounced to be under the influence of morphine. Antidotes were administered, but with no avail; and on Sunday afternoon he died.
He had been in the habit of taking morphine, and several doses were found on his person. At intervals for several months he has appeared to be partially deranged.
