Darlene Adams, age 77, of Osage, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Darlene was born October 3, 1933, in Lowry, Minnesota, the daughter of Clayton and Amanda (Anderson) Anderson. She attended schools in St. Ansgar. On September 17, 1955, she was united in marriage to Donald C. Adams in Stacyville. Darlene worked at the Co-op Oil as a bookkeeper and as a seamstress making draperies. She was known for the cakes that she made for all occasions. Darlene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Guild. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Darlene enjoyed dancing, playing cards, shopping, cooking and baking, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by her three sons, Brian (Jan) Adams of Osage and their children, Roxanne Peoples and her children, Karleena and Eric, Kristi (Doug) Feldman and their children, Liberty and Vinton, Jason (Stacey) Adams and their children, Isabella and Lily, Chad (Jen) Adams; Marty Adams and his fiancée, Karla Hutchins of New Born, Georgia and his children, Jamie and Nicole Adams; Terry (Tonya) Adams of Osage and their children, Madison and Cole; and a brother, Kenneth (Jane) Anderson of Perry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald in 2009; and a son, Scott.
