Anna Richardson was born January 4, 1882 near Mona, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Maria Matson.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran Church near Lyle, Minnesota. She was married to John Richardson May 23, 1900. They farmed in the New Haven and McIntire vicinity until 1910, when they moved to Riceville and have lived in this area for the past 62 years, and in her present home the last 49 years.

She passed away Sunday evening, May 21,1972 at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 17 days.

Services were held May 24, 1972 at the United Methodist Church in Riceville with Rev. John Boyle officiating. Casket bearers included Arthur Carlson, Glen Fox, Hilman Hendrickson, Raymond Jacobus, Arthur Milhan and Leo Wallace. Pianist was Mrs. Roy Stark.
