Funeral services for Charles Libersky, 94, of St. Ansgar, who died December 29, 1986 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, were held Wednesday, December 31 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Thomas Hughes officiating.

Mr. Libersky was born in Mitchell County on February 13, 1892, the son of Anton and Julie Libersky. As a young boy, his family moved to Oregon where they lived for seven years. After returning to Iowa, he entered the Armed Services and served over seas during World War I.

He was married to Laura Nelson on March 12, 1921. Mr. Libersky was instructed in the Lutheran faith, baptized and confirmed as an adult on November 28, 1941, by the Rev. O.A. Langehough. He farmed north of St. Ansgar until 1951 when he retired and moved into town.

Survivors include a daughter, Ermajean Bullis, of La Porte City and a son, Robert, of St. Ansgar; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one son and eight brothers and sisters.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery.

Charles Libersky

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 31, 1986, at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar for Charles Libersky, 94, of St. Ansgar. The Rev. T. Hughes officiated and burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery. Mr. Libersky died on Monday, December 29, 1986, at the Osage hospital.

Mr. Libersky was born on February 3, 1892 in Union Township, Mitchell County to Anton and Julia Libersky. He was a retired farmer and a World War I veteran.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. R. I. (Ermajean) Bullis of LaPorte City, Iowa; a son, Robert of St. Ansgar; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
