Funeral services for Henry Leraaen, 84, who died at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital January 15, 1994, were held January 18, 1994 at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.

Henry Leraaen, the youngest son of Ole and Barbara (Knutson) was born in Mitchell County July 19, 1909. He attended the Newburg school for his elementary education. He worked for Wilmer and Elsie Rachut at farm work for over 20 years, also working for Leon Thorson. He served his country in the United States Army. Henry was a quiet person, keeping to himself but liked by everyone with whom he had dealings.

Henry is survived by his brother, Halvor of St. Ansgar, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
