O. E. Gallup received word recently that his brother, Edgar E. Gallup, had passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Talbot, in Los Angeles, California, after a brief illness from pneumonia. Mr. Gallup had word that his brother was ill, but a letter came a day later, saying that his condition was improving. He suddenly took a turn for the worse, and died within a day. Because of the long journey, Mr. Gallup could not attend the funeral.

Edgar Gallup was about 80 years of age, and until twenty-two years ago lived on what is known as the Melbourne Lewis farm, east of Orchard. This was the old homestead where the family lived since 1866, when they moved there from Brandon, Wisconsin.

Mr. Gallup's wife passed away four years ago, but he is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Talbot, his sister, Mrs. A. E. Bartlett, O. E. Gallup, Osage, and Mrs. J. W. Elliott, of Santa Ana, California.
