Paul Kroneman, 66, Dies Suddenly At Son's Home Wednesday

Paul Kroneman, age 66, of St. Ansgar, died suddenly following a heart attack Wednesday evening at about 5 p.m. while visiting at his son Harvey's farm home.

Mr. Kroneman had worked all day Wednesday on St. Ansgar village streets. Mrs. Kroneman was away at a hospital at Charles City on Wednesday.

Funeral arrangements have not been definitely announced pending return of the Reverend O. A. Langehough today (Thursday). The funeral will likely be either Saturday or Monday at First Lutheran in St. Ansgar.

Paul Kroneman, 66, died Wednesday evening at the home of his son, Harvey Kroneman, north of St. Ansgar. He suffered a heart attack.

Surviving are his wife, a patient at Cedar Valley Hospital, Charles City, and four sons, Harvey, Elmer and Lloyd, St. Ansgar, and Herbert, Charles City. Funeral services were held today.

LAST RITES FOR PAUL KRONEMAN, 66, SATURDAY

Funeral services were held at First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar Saturday afternoon for Paul Kroneman, age 66, who died suddenly Wednesday evening at the home of his son, Harvey, following a heart attack. He had worked all day Wednesday on St. Ansgar streets and his wife had been taken to a hospital in Charles City that same morning.

Paul Fredrick Kroneman, son of William and Louise Vedder Kroneman, was born February 2, 1889, in Rock Township. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, Mitchell County, and was confirmed in the same church by Pastor Johannes Becker. On February 21, 1915, he was united in marriage to Ida Dieterich in the same church by Pastor W. Reinecke.

His entire life was spent farming until two years ago when he retired and moved to St. Ansgar, at which time he joined the First Lutheran congregation. While in St. Ansgar he has been in the employment of the city.

He enjoyed good health until seven years ago when he was stricken with a cerebral hemorrage, but after a few years he regained fair health and was able to do light work up to the day of his death, July 27, 1955.

Mr. Kroneman is survived by his wife, four sons; Lloyd, Harvey, and Elmer all of St. Ansgar, and Herbert of Charles City, Iowa; also six grandchildren, one brother and three sisters.

The Rev. Olaf A. Langehough was in charge of the services. Pallbearers were Selmer Sponheim, Erwin Albrecht, Kermit Askland, George Adrian, Fred Langrock and Philip Baldner.
