Everett J. Howe 1860-1944
PIONEER OF MITCHELL COUNTY DIES AT AGE 83
Osage – Everett J. Howe, 83, died Thursday morning at the home of Mrs. Olive Howe, near Osage. Mr. Howe was born November 7, 1860, son of James M. and Sarah Nims Howe, in Cedar Township.
He was married to Jeanette Wilson at Rockford on February 22, 1882. They retired to St. Paul in 1914 where they lived until her death in 1938 when he made his home with his daughter-in-law.
Surviving are 2 brothers Ernest Howe, Santa Cruz, California and Clarence Howe, Salem, Oregon; a son, Amber E. Howe, Bernie, Missouri, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were tentatively set for Saturday at Champions Funeral Home. The Rev. H. F. Risse of Mitchell will officiate.
