Orven H Popp 1887-1953

ORVEN POPP RITES TO BE HELD FRIDAY

Orven H. Popp, 65, Cartersville, died Tuesday afternoon at a Rockwell nursing home, following an illness. He had lived at Cartersville 21 years.

Mr. Popp was born March 10, 1887, at Osage, the son of Emil and Katherine (Hovel) Popp. He was married to Josephine Nemeth at Osage April 15, 1925

Surviving are his wife; a son, Louis Popp, Kenosha, Wisconsin; a brother, John Popp, Osage; five sisters; Mrs. Robert (Mary) Pelleymounter, Osage; Mrs. Oscar (Anna) Meitner, Osage; Mrs. John (Rose) Ginder, Lyle, Minn; Miss Elizabeth Popp, Cartersville; and Mrs. Frank (Edith) Meitner, Juneau, Wis. He was preceded in death by one son in infancy

Mr. Popp was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Cartersville.

Requiem High Mass will be said Friday at 9:30 a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church at Cartersville, with Father G. C. Latiner, celebrant.
Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery at Osage.

The Rosary will be said Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Patterson-James Chapel at Rockwell. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday.
