Funeral services for Mabel S. Kirchgatter, 90, who died Saturday, November 6, 1993, were held Tuesday, November 9 at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.
Mabel S. Kirchgatter was born January 18, 1903 in Worth County near Grafton, the daughter of George and Emma Braun Gillerman. She attended rural schools in Barton Township.
She married Emil A. Kirchgatter February 17, 1927 at Grafton. They lived in the Carpenter area until his death in 1967 when Mabel moved to St. Ansgar. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Rebecca Circle.
Mabel is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James (Shirley) Brock, Osage; one son, Leland Kirchgatter of Walker, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Kirk Kirchgatter, San Pable, California; Yvette Kirchgatter Fleer, Livermore, California; Scott Kirchgatter, Anthon; Mark Kirchgatter, Manly; Lisa Brock _utmanis, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Jeffrey Brock, Osage; two great-grandchildren, Allison Kirchgatter of Anthon; Timothy Fleer, Livermore, California; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Myrtle) Gordon, Kensett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil, her parents, a son Donald, a sister, Verna _oescher, a brother, Lloyd Gillerman.
Burial was in Newburg Township Cemetery, rural Carpenter.
