MRS. JOHN SENSE BURIED IN STACYVILLE CEMETERY

Stacyville, Oct. 14 – Funeral services were held yesterday at the C. B. French home in Osage for Mrs. John Dense, formerly of Stacyville, who died Friday, at the state hospital at Independcence. She was about 29 years old, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Penney, now living in Colorado, and was born and grew up here.

One child was born to them who died in infancy.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents and two brothers and two sisters. Burial was made in the Stacyville Cemetery.

Gretchen Penney was born about 1901 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles A Penney and Mae Emma (Chamberlain) Penney. She married John Dense, the son of August Dense and Christina (Huxhold) Dense.
After her death, her husband John Dense married Leola Barker in June of 1931.
Her parents are buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, Otero Co., Colorado
