MABEL HORTON RITES AT OSAGE
Osage – Funeral services were held Monday at the Champion Funeral Home for Mrs. Mabel Horton, 78. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery. She died Wednesday at Tucson, Arizona, where she had spent the last six months.
Born as Mabel Naylor in Mitchell County, she was married to William Henry Horton. They lived in Osage all their married lives. Her husband died in 1952
Surviving are two sons, Robert, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Richard, Dayton Ohio, and two sisters.

Mabel Horton was born October 1882 (1900 Census) the daughter of Stephen W Horton and Mary Isabelle (Smith) Horton. She married William Henry Horton Jr., the son of William Horton and Eliza Jane (Dennis) Horton. (1925 Iowa Census for parents)
