Mrs. Al Halverson Died
After Several Months
of Illness

Mrs. Al Halverson passed away at her home Tuesday afternoon from an illness of long duration. She was stricken with tumor of the brain several months ago and was taken to the clinic at Rochester, where all possible was done for her. She returned home and for a time seemed better, then some weeks ago commenced to fail.

Ida Zangen was born in Winneshiek county, Iowa, February 5, 1898, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elling Zangen. She spent her girlhood there.

Ten years ago she was married to Al Halvorson and they came to Mitchell county at that time.

Surviving is her daughter and son by a former marriage, Mrs. William Lonergan, and Edgar Fredericksen, who has assumed his step-father's name, of Halverson.

Funeral service was held this forenoon at the Osage Lutheran church in charge of the Rev. T. P. Solem; then the body was taken to the Glenwood township church in Allamakee county, where a second service was held and burial made in the cemetery nearby.
