Funeral services for Thomas Ray Johnson, 29, who died in Mason City, Iowa, July 25, 1971 were held on Wednesday, July 28, 1971 at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.
Thomas Ray Johnson was born May 21, 1942 in Mason City, Iowa. Mr. Johnson was the son of John Milton and June (Richmond) Johnson. He was baptized in the First United Congregational Church of Charles City and confirmed in the Congregational Church at Riceville.
Tom was a graduate of the Riceville Community High School, Riceville, Iowa in 1960 and attended Morningside College at Sioux City, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Betty Johnson of St. Ansgar, on December 20, 1965. For the past four years they have made their home in Mason City.
Surviving are his wife, Betty and daughter Kristi Ann, of Mason City; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Milton Johnson of Riceville, Iowa; one brother, Gary Johnson of Scottsdale, Arizona; one sister, Mrs. Boyd (Cheryl) Browning of Encino, California; two nieces and two nephews. Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery.
