Mary Stock, 78,
dies at Osage
OSAGE, IOWA — Mrs. Mary Stock, 78, died Thursday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church here, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery at Manly.
Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home is in charge.
Born as Mary Johnson, March 27, 1882, she had lived most of her life in Mitchell County. She and her husband, the late Caleb Stock, farmed near Kensett for some time and then returned to Osage. For the last three years she had been a housekeeper.
Surviving are five sons: Russell, Forest City, Everett and Walter both of Storm Lake, Floyd, of Alton, Illinois, and Leo, of St. Louis; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Marcella) Thompson, of Chicago; and a sister.
